Rather than just sponsor a surf competition, Hyundai created their own. Electric Air was as progressive as the Kona Electric itself, capturing the imagination of surfers with the best air game.
Hanging five metres below an electric blimp was a set of keys. The first surfer to do an air, grab the keys mid-flight, and land the trick won a Kona Electric.
